Chapter Four

Nick turned his thoughts off automatically. He didn’t know what the fuck was going on, but if he’d heard Sebastian, there was a good chance Sebastian could hear him as well. Nick dragged his fingers through his unruly hair. He needed to talk to Preston, like, now. Nick made his way up the stairs to his room. Sebastian was pulling his jeans on and Nick got a nice look at that tight end. He chuckled, thinking about Sebastian being the quarterback. God, that was a turn on. He cleared his throat and smiled when Sebastian turned around with a grin.

“Nice tight end,” Nick leered.

Sebastian zipped his jeans up and smirked. “Like I haven’t heard that one.”

“Yeah?” Nick advanced on Sebastian, a wicked grin on his face. “But I get it all to myself.”

Sebastian wrapped his arms around Nick’s neck. “Yes, you do. Detective.” Sebastian’s eye fell on Nick’s back in the mirror. “Oh my God, did I do that?” The scratches had begun to heal, but were still prominent.

Nick smiled, leaning in to catch Sebastian’s bottom lip between his teeth. “Yes, you’re an animal.”

“I’m so sorry.” Sebastian trailed his fingers lightly over the scratches. “I didn’t even realize I’d done it.”

“It’s all right, it’s kinda sexy.” Nick waggled his eyebrows. “I thought maybe we could go see Wyatt this morning?”

Sebastian looked at the clock. “Yes, we could do that.”

“We can stop for food on our way.” Nick grabbed his jeans and a T-shirt.

Sebastian pulled his sneakers on and looked at Nick’s back. “Are you sure…I mean, I’m sorry I did that to you.”

Nick pulled his T-shirt over his head and turned to face Sebastian. He took Sebastian’s hands and kissed the palms of both. “I’m fine, now come here.” Nick pulled Sebastian closer, taking his lips in a rough kiss. When they finally broke for air, Nick could see that Sebastian’s pupils were blown again. “Are you all right?”

“Yes, shit, you take my breath away.”

“Come on, let’s go.”
